Description:	In 1999, roundwood output from Kentucky's forests totaled 220 million cubic feet, 13 percent more than in 1997. Mill byproducts generated from primary manufacturers increased 10 percent to 108 million cubic feet. Ninety-five percent of plant residues were used, primarily for fuel and fiber products. Saw logs were the leading roundwood product at 179 million cubic feet; pulpwood ranked a distant second at 19 million cubic feet; other industrial products were third at 14 million cubic feet. The number of primary processing plants declined from 391 in 1997 to 348 in 1999. Total receipts increased 10 percent to 237 million cubic feet.
