Goal of State Line meetings: To develop or expand potential cooperation and support between our organizations by sharing current and future research projects; identifying areas of cooperation and needs; discuss forest management related issues and concerns, and way that SRS can assist state managers in clarifying, understanding, and resolving these issues, to the extent possible.

Topics and key Outcomes:
Water: Use in a changing landscape
The SGSF Water Resources Committee will help facilitate a roll-out of the work being led by Pete Caldwell, Research Hydrologist at Coweeta Hydrologic Lab, which will communicate the value of water from state and private forest lands.
Economic and ecological impacts of Southern Pine Beetle and status of current outbreak
John Nowak demonstrated a new remote sensing product (via GTAC) that helps identify SPB spots via aerial photography.
